Boscombe
Salvation Army Senior Timbrels
The Boscombe Senior Timbrel
Brigade (tambourines) are one of the most popular sections of
the Church family at Boscombe. Regular performances at concerts,
festivals and open-air meetings are always greatly appreciated
by the audience/congregation. They have also been on the TV, taking
part in one of the morning worship services and have also regularly
taken part in the London Lord Mayor's Show.
The Timbrels are a young group of ladies, who enjoy fun
and fellowship and rehearse every week to create routines as a contemporary
form of worship.
A great response is always received from passers by during the summer
months, as the Timbrels perform at the Bandstand in Bournemouth
Gardens when featured as part of the Boscombe SA Band Friday night
programme.
The routines performed by the Timbrels are devised by the group
as a whole, each member playing an important part.
