Boscombe Salvation Army Young People's Band

The Y.P. Band is a valuable part of our Church family at Boscombe and is led by Bandleader Malcolm Randell assisted by a team of able helpers constantly tutoring new young people to play instruments and helping develop the current members.

In 1993, the Y.P. Band undertook a tour of Romania and was the first Salvation Army section to visit that country after the fall of communism.

2008 was the centenary of Boscombe Y.P. Band, the first commissioned Y.P. Band in the United Kingdom Territory.

The Y.P. Band feature regularly and play every Sunday morning both in the junior meeting at 10am and the main adult meeting at 11am. The Y.P. Band also feature every month in the evening at 6pm during our monthly Sunday Concerts. The band can also be seen carolling in and around the Bournemouth and Christchurch areas at Christmas.
